As part of President Nursultan Nazarbayev's participation in G20 Summit the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Erlan Idrissov held a meeting with the leadership of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) of the People’s Republic of China.

At the meeting they exchanged diplomatic notes confirming the intention of sides to sign in the near future an intergovernmental agreement on mutual abolition of visa requirements. The sides also discussed prospects of expansion of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Macao SAR in the economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian and tourism spheres.

At G20 site E.Idrissov held brief talks with a number of Foreign Ministers. In particular, at the meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Wang Yi they discussed the outcomes of Nursultan Nazarbayev’s visit to China and the course of implementation of general  agreements between the leaders of the two countries.

In addition, they touched upon issues of cooperation between Kazakhstan and China at international markets, including in the framework of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the forthcoming Kazakhstan's membership in the UN Security Council.

At the meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, the sides discussed preparations for the upcoming Forum of interregional cooperation of Kazakhstan and Russia, as well as relevant issues of the international agenda.

E.Idrissov held talks with the Heads of Foreign Ministries of Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, South Korea, Thailand, Egypt and the others that held discussions on the current issues and prospects of bilateral cooperation of Kazakhstan with these countries and their participation in the International specialized exhibition "EXPO 2017".
